Panic Disorder Signs And Symptoms:
http://www.way2hope.org/mental-health/panic-disorder-symptoms.htm

Also known as panic attacks, this anxiety disorder is known for sudden, intense episodes of fear, lasting from minutes to hours. The typical symptoms of panic disorder are at least four of the following within 10 minutes: 1. Feeling detached, 2. Dizziness, 3. Shortness of breath, 4. Feelings of unreality, 5. Pounding heart or palpitations, 6. fear of dying, 7. trembling, 8. fear of losing control, 9. Sweating, chills, hot flashes, 10. Chest discomfort. 11. Feeling of choking, 12. Numbness or tingling, 13. Nausea.

These feelings are very real during the attack...so much so that many experience constant fear of another attack. In fact, many suffering panic disorder seek treatment for heart attack. Because of the severe feelings, it's common for patients to alter their lives to avoid attacks.

Panic Disorder Causes:
While no one knows the exact causes, genetics and family relationships seem to be risk factors. Women are twice as likely as men to suffer from panic disorder. Some forms of substance abuse can cause panic symptoms.

Panic Disorder Treatment:
Examination for physical conditions should be done, first, to eliminate physical causes and determine if substance abuse is a factor. Doctors can provide a number of medications to control this disorder. Other psychological therapies can help you understand and control your experience.

Panic Disorder Self Help:
Nothing can replace a good diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, regular exercise and regular sleep, as self-help steps for panic disorder. Also, practice mental imagery of relaxing and calming situations, so, if a panic attack happens, you'll be ready to use these relaxing thoughts to alter your feelings. At first, this may seem silly or useless. You feel like you're dying, and this online idiot says to think happy thoughts. Once you know panic disorder is something that happens in your mind, you know you'll have to fight it in your mind. 2,000 years ago, a guy named Saul of Tarsus wrote that you could achieve a peace beyond all understanding by thinking uplifting, noble, praiseworthy and good thoughts. More recently, some guy in a white jacket copied his idea and called it cognitive therapy. Whether you want to call it religion or science...it has worked for thousands of years.

Total Healing:
Mental health conditions can be frustrating and confusing...sometimes even fatal. We both know there are no quick fixes, whether medicine, nutrition, or anything else. Complete healing is possible...from God. If you want God's help with this or any problem, go to Help From God.
